Crime Analysis Plus is a mapping application designed to download, view and analyze incidents from records or dispatch. Click the thumbnail to view our data grid and analysis displays.


Status:

  • Navigate Design: Design tool for the creation of data grids. The tool allows users to set headings, rows, and assign icons for disiplay of specific incident types.
  • Navigate: Display incidents from an easy to navigate (by row or column) data grid.
  • CA+ Setup: Tool for establishing friendly connections to databases.

Analysis:

  • Gradient: Graphics are generated for each incident based on user values. Resulting areas reveal area of high activity.
  • Polygon: Shade areas based on the number of incidents found in each area.
  • Grid: Shade system generated grids of a user defined size based on the number of incidents in each grid.
  • Prediction: Ellipse or rectangle generated based on selected incidents to show the area where the next incident is most likely to occur.

Librarian:

  • Patterns: Tool for naming, retrieving and backup of user created patterns.
  • Series: Create, edit and manage crime series. Incidents may come from databases or entered directly by the crime analyst. The series manager tool provides the ability to display series and text with the icon representing the incident.

Time Slice:

  • Time Sequence: Playback events based on time intervals. E.G. display burglaries for the last year with one month per display.
  • Event plume: Map area (polygon) grows and shrinks as mapped incidents change.

Additional GIS Functions

In addition to the incident functions the CA+ script can include standard GIS functions that include:

  • SQL query capabilities
  • Locate functions that include streets, intersections, lat long coordinates, property owner or id etc.
  • Send reports to standard Windows programs such as Word, Excel and Access.
  • Sketch tool for adding your own features to maps for presentations or reports.
  • Fence tool to return all incidents within a user specified area.
  • Printing and plotting functions that include legend creation. Print to any Windows supported printer.
